Short project Summary

ATTEN2 is a company specialized in the design, development, manufacture and commercialization of fluid monitoring technology in industrial applications. Within the OILMARK sub-project, ATTEN2 addresses two main objectives:

(1) Servitisation. ATTEN2 need to start the path towards the transformation of their business model from a product selling approach to a service selling one by creating a services infrastructure for remote equipment health condition diagnostic and for supporting customers to maximize their equipment availability.

(2) Market expansion. ATTEN2’s vision is to be a company of recognized international prestige where they offer a product/service of excellent quality. In this sense, MARKET4.0 marketplace is an opportunity to open to new markets.

To achieve these goals, ATTEN2 collaborates with the technological centre TEKNIKER as software provider for the required service platform and with the manufacturer of solutions for power transmission GOIZPER for the validation scenario.

Partner 1: ATTEN2

ATTEN2 is a company specialized in the design, development, manufacture and commercialization of fluid monitoring technology in industrial applications. ATTEN2’s team has more than 15 years of experience in this area, in addition to having advanced knowledge in the following areas: optical technology, electronics & communications, materials technology, mechatronics, tribology, data science.

Currently, the company offers its services and technologies and operates in different markets mainly related to gas turbines and wind turbines (energetic sector). ATTEN2 has in its own portfolio two online monitoring solutions: (1) OilHealth: An online optical sensor that measures the degradation of lubricating oil, thus allowing significant economic, environmental and operational benefits to be gained from the optimization of oil changes; and (2) OilWear: A range of online optical sensors to detect particles present in a fluid, classify them in terms of size / origin and to count them.

The GOIZPER GROUP seed is Goizper S. Coop, which was created in 1959 in the Gipuzkoa town of Antzuola, part of the European industrial cooperative movement that developed in Mondragon (Spain). The extensive growth of GOIZPER has turned it into a structured Group based on 3 different businesses: GOIZPER Industrial, GOIZPER Spraying and GOIZPER Biotechnology.

The business participating in the project, GOIZPER Industrial, is a technological benchmark leader in design, manufacturing and sales of differential solutions for power transmission and automation for application in a variety of sectors (metalforming, automotive, aeronautics, packaging, construction, shipbuilding, tools-machinery, rubber, plastic, mining, etc.) offering components such as brakes, clutches, clutch-brakes, index drives, camshafts, gearboxes, etc.

Partner 3: TEKNIKER

TEKNIKER is a technological centre legally constituted as a private not-for-profit Foundation that aims at the development and transfer of technology to improve the competitiveness of industry. It employs around 285 people. TEKNIKER is proactive in European level associations and initiatives such as European Factories of the Future Research Association (EFFRA), Big Data Value Association (BDVA), International Data Spaces Association (IDSA) and Alliance for Internet of Things Innovation (AIOTI). Key research group involved in OILMARK is Intelligent Information Systems unit (SII), a multidisciplinary team (physics, chemistry, informatics and engineering) of 20 people working in 3 key areas of research specialization (i.e., predictive analytics, semantics and cyber physical systems).
